Rising temperatures, sea-level rise, floods, droughts, and wildfires—extreme climate events—affect all aspects of life, not only environmentally but also socially, economically, and structurally.

In Türkiye, the building sector accounts for a large share of energy consumption and emissions. Net-zero buildings generate the energy they consume through passive design, efficient systems, and renewable energy integration. Planning structure and energy together enables sustainable, low-cost buildings to become the new standard.
